Born Gangstaz

''Born Gangstaz'' is the debut album released by gangsta emcee Boss, released on May 25, 1993, on Def Jam Recordings' West Coast-based sub-label DJ West and featured production from some of hip hop's top producers at the time, including Def Jef, Erick Sermon and Jam Master Jay. ''Born Gangstaz'' was a success, peaking at #22 on the ''Billboard'' 200 and #3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. Despite the success of this album, Boss has yet to release another album. According to Nielsen SoundScan, ''Born Gangstaz'' has sold 378,000 copies to date.
Three singles were released from the album, "Deeper," "Recipe of a Hoe," and "Progress of Elimination," the first of the two both topping the Hot Rap Singles chart.
